South East Villages Neighborhood locates in Area 3 for City of Aurora Police Department. Neighbors who live north of Montgomery Road are in District 12 and neighbors south of Montgomery Road are in District 16.  Our City supports Community Oriented Policing (C.O.P.), and we appreciate the assistance of C.O.P. officers serving in our community.

What is Community Oriented Policing?

Community Oriented Policing promotes safety in Aurora. The work of C.O.P. officers in Aurora benefits our neighborhood through building relationships, strategizing problem prevention, and developing solutions to crime and safety issues.

Problem-solving techniques in our area, together with proactive involvement, complement the City-wide work to:

  • Alleviate crime,
  • Build trust, and
  • Create safe communities.

Aurora Public Library

Our Aurora Public Library provides wonderful resources. Whether you seek a new book for fall reading or are looking for videos, dvds, or cds to enjoy, online access to the Aurora Public Library is available 24/7.

With programs including pre-school reading hours, elementary age activities, a teen room and youth events, informational presentations and book discussions for adults, the Aurora Public Library has something for all ages. Nearby to SEV Neighborhood,  Eola Road Branch is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Friday/Saturday hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. During the school year, the Library has open hours on Sunday afternoons from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

If you reside within incorporated Aurora, Illinois, you are entitled to a Resident Library Card.
